Hidden Places
Many legends and myths surround the hidden places of Tempelhof Airport. Beneath the surface lies an extensive system of basement rooms and tunnels. Numerous spaces were originally built as air raid shelters. The events surrounding the film bunker, which was burned out at the end of the war, remain a mystery to this day.
On this guided tour through bunkers, air-raid shelters, and intelligence service rooms, you will gain moving insights into the traces of history that are still visible today — from the site’s use during the NS era to its occupation by the U.S. Air Force from 1945 onward, including intelligence activities during the Cold War.
