Activation of additional space
A major challenge for Tempelhof Projekt GmbH remains the revitalization and development of additional areas. These include, among other things, the old freight hall, which is located beneath the main hall; the old fire station; and other areas spread throughout the entire building.
This is a challenging task, as it involves the renovation of all areas, which are also interlinked: the technical infrastructure as a basis, the renovation of the supporting structure and facades, the necessary removal of hazardous materials, the structural reinforcement of walls, floors, and ceilings, and, last but not least, the interior work and the installation of modern fittings. All of this is being done in compliance with historic preservation regulations and in parallel with ongoing event operations.
